Powders are simply an inefficient supplement delivery mechanism. Because powders are typically top dressed, you end up buying more powder than you might need simply because of waste and supplements falling to the bottom of the bin. This makes it difficult to achieve desired health benefits as it is harder to provide effective, consistent supplementation.
If given the option, most horse owners prefer pellets to powders. However, the pelleting process requires the use of binding agents to “glue” ingredients together and also involves “steam conditioning”, which is typically used to lower production as feed is pressed into pellets. Research has shown that the high temperatures (176+ deg. Fahrenheit) involved with steam conditioning may reduce nutritional value of finished product*. This is of particular concern with conventional probiotics such as Lactobacillus Acidophilus; effective digestive support requires the delivery of live bacteria and our lab tests have proven that this strain simply does not survive above temperatures of approximately 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Be wary of anyone selling you pelleted probiotics!

Our products are 100% plant-based and produced using human-grade ingredients in human-grade facilities. Our products are so safe that some of our customers sneak a few pieces for themselves as they feed their horses! While we strive to be 100% organic as well, the reality of our size and supply chain places some limitations on what we can reliably source. Help us grow and we can achieve this goal together!
For bananas, we recommend feeding 4 slices per day for an average horse (~1,000lbs.). For apples, we recommend feeding 3 scoops per day. Please keep in mind that our supplements are not a replacement for feed and should account for less than 5% of your horse’s daily nutrition (in weight).
We recommend storing your supplements in a cool, dry place. Our products do well in a covered barn / feed room for up to 6 months if properly resealed.
